The bell tower on the church is rather splendid!  We have various photographs taken on different visits to the church though we have failed to photograph the inside mechanism very well.

There are four carvings protruding the tower - we think these are the creatures of the tetramorph but on searching for information there are various accounts which contradict each other and ultimately name five creatures - a lion, a bull/ox, an angel, an eagle and a man.  Our photographs of these carvings shows clearly the lion and bull/ox, but we do not know whether the remaining two are an angel, an eagle or a man.  The stone has eroded in our harsh weather making identifying them even more difficult.  If you know for sure which are what, please let us know.

It is interesting to note the Edward Kite sketch of the original church building shows a cockerell on the weathervane rather than the cross in our photographs.
