The Lady Chapel is on the south side of the church, adjacent to the Chancel.  A small plaque attached to the wooden screen informs us it was erected in 1935 in memory of E. C. Beard

In times gone by when pregnancy and giving birth were very dangerous and worrying times for women, a Lady Chapel was an important to them - a place to pray for health and for a safe delivery.  It is a reminder of how fortunate we are today to have such excellent pre‑natal and anti‑natal care.

The Lady Chapel has a serene feel to it; people are welcome to come in and light a candle and sit for a while as they remember their loved ones.
