Unfortunately the inscription on this gravestone is not readable.  We can see the name of William Pinniger but we do not know if this is his grave or if he is only mentioned in the inscription.  We tried to photograph the inscription close‑up, but it is too eroded and, apart from the occasional word, we cannot make sense of the inscription.  We have included all the photographs below in case anybody else can read the inscription.
