Bronze Age Barrow at The Church of St. Andrew, Ogbourne St. Andrew, Wiltshire

An information board at the site tells us that within the churchyard of St. Andrew there is a very rare Bronze Age Barrow and medieval agricultural complex which covers a site much bigger than the current churchyard.  It tells us it means this site has at least 3,500 years of history.  Amazing!

There is a website address on the notice board for more information but unfortunately sometime before March 2026 the history group disbanded and it is uncertain how long the website will be there for; the information is being deposited elsewhere (and there are links to these places) but for now at least there is plenty of details to be read.  The website is at:  osahg.org.uk.

After photos of the notice board and complex, our photographs of the barrow start from the north side and move around to the right.
