The Wish Hounds are located in Croft Woods, close to the M4 motorway. They were created by Lou Hamilton and unveiled on 30th April 1993.
The site is rather neglected now but still has a presence about it. Sadly both the plaques which were on posts as one approaches the area from the main walkway have both disappeared. Photographs of them can be seen at:
Name/Information Plaque and

As well as the Wish Hounds themselves, there are two more parts to this artwork - as we approach the site we are greeted by concrete words on the floor - admittedly now rather overgrown - which read Earth, Fragment, Iron Ore and finally Wish-Hound. The other area is the earthworks.
Our photographs are shown in the order we walked the site - from the main walkway of Croft Woods passing over the words as we approach the installation, then walking around anti-clockwise, then some closer photographs of the hounds and finally the earthworks.
