The original school building (when it was called Shaw Ridge County Primary School) was built in 1985 and lasted until 2009 when the current building replaced it. See photographs of the
original school. Another big change for the school happened in 2006 when Salt Way Primary school closed and its pupils relocated to Shaw Ridge.
