The former Princess Margaret Hospital, Okus Road, Swindon was opened in phases - the outpatients department in 1959, the main block in 1966 (the official opening was by Princess Margaret in April 1966) (source) and closed on 3rd December 2002.  The site has been developed for new housing, shops and a care home.  It is nice to see that the street names reflect the site's history.  We will endevour to return and take some photographs of the new housing.

The   Great Western Hospital,  in Marlborough Road is now Swindon's main hospital.
