This was originally the Aylesbury Dairy building and opened in 1876. In 1891 it was remodelled when it became the Southern Laundry. Part of the laundry has been demolished and, at time of writing (July 2014), is being used as a car park and hand car wash, but this part that still stands is a Grade II listed building - see

We remember it only as part of the Paragon Laundry works, which took up space into Haydon Street, and which closed down, from memory, in the 1980s and was demolished in 2012. For photographs of the entire site the Paragon Laundry took
