Gravestones: A-G H-P Q-Z Inside Memorials Stained Glass War Memorials Wiltshire Collections entry |

The church of St. Katharine and St. Peter at Winterbourne Bassett is set in beautiful countryside just on the edge of this quiet and peaceful
village, not many miles from Avebury. The churchyard is well tended and the inside of the church felt peaceful and well looked after.
There are some splended memorials in the North chapel, and quite a lot of memorials on flagstones (which are unfortunately rather difficult to photograph).
It was interesting to see a large notice naming all the inhabitants (and their addresses) of the village at the beginning of the new millennium. We did
not include a photograph of it here to respect the privacy of the villagers!
