The Church of St. Mary, Lydiard Tregoze, Swindon, Wiltshire



This monument, which is above the chapel door, was erected by Sir Giles Mompesson in memory of his wife Katherine, who was the eldest sister of the 1st baronet.  As with most of the monuments in this church, it is still in wonderful condition despite its age - although the inscription is in Latin, a date of 1633 can be read.
