Maxwell Park in next to the roundabout at the junction of The Square and the A747 Main Street.  There are steps up this fairly steep hill - the War Memorial is part of the way up.  At the top are a couple of seats where you can admire the lovely view across the harbour and out to sea.  In the opposite direction is a field - looking at a map after our visit we realise the field goes back quite some way and this is in fact part of the Park.
