Port William, Wigtownshire, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland
We have stayed a few times near Port William and passed through it many times as we have driven along the A747 - a road with wonderful views across the beach and out to sea. It was rather unfortunate that the day we stopped to take these photographs was a very dull, grey day.
There are at least twenty two listed structures in Port William, including the Harbour and its quay, gateway and boundary walls, the War Memorial, schools, church, shops and houses. More information about the listings can be found at the British Listed Buildings website.
