This hotel is located on Fleming Way at the junction with Islington Street. We should probably apologise to the owners because we and many others still refer to it as The Wiltshire Hotel even though it has had at least three different names since The Wiltshire Hotel closed many years back. Currently (2019) it is called the Thistle Express.
The hotel's previous name was the Menzies Swindon Hotel and at that time the ground floor had a bar and cafe called The Havana. Most of our photographs are from this period.
Before this it was a Thistle Hotel and before that The Wiltshire Hotel.
