Wiltshire Colelctions entry

The Church of St. Mary's at Westport, is a very short distance from Malmesbury Abbey.   The original church was pulled down and re-built between 1643 - 1680.   John Aubrey described it as a "prettie Church, where there were very good windows and a fair steeple higher than the other, which much adorned to Towne of Malmesbury" (see more about his visit by following the link above).

We have included a couple of extra photographs, one of the home Kate Lea, Mandy's great-grand-aunt, and also what used to be The Plough public house where Kate was once the publican.
