We have visited Spean Bridge a number of times - it is the sort of place you want to keep returning to if you
have the opportunity. There are always visitors, sometimes by the coach load, yet it retains a sense of solemnity.
The beautiful surroundings offer a perfect backdrop. It is not a sad place but a place people come to
reflect and pay their respects. For some it is the end of a long journey, both in distance and time as they
fulfill their desire to visit this memorial to their loved ones.
