Our visit to Holy Cross in Sherston Magna proved to be surprising.   We had no idea that such a large and splendid church was to be found here.   In fact, we hadn't allowed enough time to spend here so missed taking some photographs.

Particularly fascinating to us was seeing the Rattle Bone figure John Aubrey wrote about in his book of the 1660s - it looks somewhat crumbled now, but it has had to endure 340 years of British weather since Aubrey stood looking at it.

Thank you to the people who made us welcome.   It is good to see this building is still used and cared for by today's congregation.
