St. Mary, Odstock, Wiltshire, England
St. Mary at Odstock is set in rather lovely countryside not far from Wiltshire capital of Salisbury. It is made of stone and flint and is around 800 years old.
On our first visit in December 2001 we noted a charitable trust (registered no. 1040361) had been set up to raise funds for vital work to the church building, including renewal of the roof and repairing of the leadwork and guttering. On our return in 2008 we did not notice this information so hopefully the work has been successfully carried out. No doubt the fundraising was hard work, but a success, and has helped secure the building's structure.
