Our visit to Alderton was on a dark on stormy day in August (typical British summer weather!).  Although occasionally blue sky did appear through the cloud and rain, it was not really bright enough to take decent photographs, so these photographs do make the church building look rather dull.  If we are passing here again when the weather is brighter, we shall stop and take some more photographs.

John Aubrey's entry in the Wiltshire Collections book uses the spelling Aldrington.  Also included are a few transcriptions to be found inside the church, and a description of the Manor House, which no longer exists.
