The small village of Wootton Rivers is located south of Marlborough and north east of Pewsey. The
Kennet and Avon Canal runs through one end of the village and adds to the picturesque look of the village.
The church of St. Andrew is well kept and the key can be obtained from the local inn, The Royal Oak.
The evening we visited Wootton Rivers the light was beginning to fade and the weather a mix of bright blue sky
interspersed with dark grey clouds and showers of rain - typical British summer weather!
There are many old gravestones in the churchyard, and we tried to photograph all the readable ones. Some of
the photographs will need to be downloaded and viewed at a higher zoom to make out an inscription whilst other
stones can be read more easily. We hope to return to photograph the inside of the church.
