Also see the redundant Parish Church of St. Mary and Wilton Baptist Church
We have been to Saints Mary and Nicholas in Wilton twice now and both times were unable to stay inside
for very long, the second time due to a wedding rehearsal. We will no doubt endevour to return and take
more detailed photographs.
This church is built in the Italian style, and is certainly a most unusual site to be found in Wiltshire. The
inside is highly decorated; we will need to take many, many photographs! As with many large churches with
stained glass (as opposed to clear glass), the inside of the building is dark and the flash for our camera is not
up to the job; photographs of larger areas will inevitable be dull.
