St. Mary church is set in quite small grounds, with buildings close-by on two sides, a drop down to
the road on another, and a walkway between more buildings on the fourth side. Difficult to photograph!
After the noise of traffic of the High Street, this makes a peaceful and pleasant place to be. there is a small
graveyard and another grassed area where some further stones are laid as paving along with flower beds. We
photographed a couple of these stones, which were the only ones readable on the day.
