The original church, located next to the St. John Manor House at Battersea (now under what was once Ranks Mill), was replaced in 1775 by the present church. The east window of the old church was re-erected in the new church.*

The window depicts Margaret Beauchamp (left) alongside King Henry VII (centre) and Queen Elizabeth I (right).* Margaret Beauchamp married Oliver St. John.
