The parish church at Grittleton is now called St. Mary's.   According to John Jackson, writing in the 1860s:   "Grittleton Church (St. Mary) was formerly called All Saints.   The nave arches are pointed, with Norman capitals.   The tower is much later:   about A.D. 1380.   The Chancel is modern and poorly built."   Whilst not qualified to comment on the quality of the building of the chancel, we did appreciate the splendid reredos and tiled floor.
