HE WAS THE ELDEST SON OF MICHAEL HICKS BEACH, ESQR.
AND OF HENRIETTA MARIA HIS WIFE.
HIS WIDOW CAROLINE JANE HICKS BEACH
ERECTED THIS MONUMENT
IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE OF HIS MEMORY.

AND ALSO TO THAT OF THEIR ONLY DAUGHTER
CAROLINE JANE HICKS,
WHO DIED ON THE 15TH OF APRIL 1821,
AGED 8 YEARS.
