Inscription on the tomb of Robert Jennor:
Here lyeth the body of Robert Jennor Esq, Citizen and Gouldsmith of London who out of his Piety and Charetie
built the eight Almeshouses in the Abbie of Malmsburie and hath allowed fourtie pounds a year for ever for the
maintenaunce of them: Who allsoe built a Free Schoule in this parrish, and left twentie pounds a year for the
maintenaunce of it for ever. Hee lykewise built the Parrish Church of Marston Maysie in the Countie of Wilts:
at his owne proper cost and charges: He hath allsoe given twentie poundes a year to St. Bartholmeues Hospitall
and fiveteene poundes a yeare to the Gouldsmithes for fiveteene of the poorest men of theire companie: and five
poundes a year to the poore of St. John Zacharies Parrish and five poundes a year to the poore of St. Leonards
Parrish in Foster Lane London: beeing all for ever.
Hee deseased this life the 7th of December 1651, beeing aged 67 yeares
