With scarce one fault to no one vice inclin’d
A disposition sickness could not sour:
Humane and gen’rous to his utmost pow’r.
No joys he sought but friendship might divide
Nor gave to others grief - but when he died.
Lamented Youth! Tho’ thy too early doom
Has nipt these op’ning virtues in their bloom;
Still may we hope hereafter they’ll be blest
With joys immortal, with eternal rest!
