John Aubrey's visit

St. John the Baptist is in the attractive village of Charlton, next to Charlton Park.   Mandy is the great grand-niece of Kate Lea, who was born at Charlton in 1869.   Kate married James Exton (born Malmesbury 1868) in Cleveland, Ohio, where they emigrated in 1890.   There are a number of Lea graves in the yard at Charlton.
