Sacred to the Memory of
WILLIAM FOWLE Esq.
who departed this life at Wiltshire Estate
in the Island of JAMAICA
on July 8th 1796, in the 61st Year of his Age
Tho a native of this County,
he passed the greater part of his life in the West Indies
where he was an eminent, and successful Practitioner of Physics
and where by his Integrity and beneficence
he raisd himself to the highest Esteem

As a small tribute
of Gratitude and affection
to so worthy an Uncle
this Monument was erected
by William FOWLE Esq. of DURINGTON
in this County
