Gravestones at Holy Cross, Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire

The churchyard at Ashton Keynes covers a large area and has some very old gravestones as well as more modern ones.  We have photographed roughly three quarters of the area, and hope to return to photograph the remaining ones.

Many of the older stones are very difficult to read as the inscription has eroded.  All the inscriptions in our photographs here can be read - or at least some of the words are readable, even if with difficulty.  If you download the full size photograph you can zoom in to read the inscriptions more easily.  If you notice an error in our spelling or interpretation of an inscription, please tell us so we can put it right.  Thank you
