We first visited Vernham Dean on a rather dull day in May 2004. We returned in May 2005 to find the church
being repaired. The west wall had been partially removed and showed what it had been built of and the thickness
of the wall.
The parish church is a short distance from the small pretty village. Fortunately a signpost in the village, by The
George Inn, guides the visitor up the small winding road to the church.
