This is our interpretation of the inscription on this memorial and therefore might not be accurate.


To the Glory of God
and as a thank-offering for the Coronation
of King Edward the VII on August 9th 1902
and for the restoration of Peace
in May 1902 after the South African War
this tower and spire were restored,
the bells rehung and a new treble bell added.
Also as a memorial
to the Rev, Thomas Pearse B.D.
for 30 years Rector of this Parish 1855-1885
By his widow Louisa Cecilia Pearse A.D. 1903
